Abstract

Stunting remains one of the most persistent public health challenges in Indonesia, with a national prevalence of 19.8% based on the 2024 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI). Despite routine data collection at Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) through the Electronic Community-Based Nutrition Monitoring Information System (e-PPGBM), spatial analysis of stunting data is rarely conducted at the primary healthcare level. This community service program aimed to introduce primary healthcare workers and allied health educators to QGIS as a tool for spatial stunting data analysis. The session was delivered online as part of the DKLPT International Community Service Program in Batam, 20–25 June 2026, in collaboration with Institut Kesehatan Mitra Bunda (IKMB) Batam and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Malaysia. A post-training evaluation questionnaire, distributed via QR code linked to a Google Form, was completed by 25 respondents. Results showed that 74.0% of all responses were affirmative, with the highest understanding for stunting awareness (92.0%) and session relevance (84.0%). Lower agreement (64.0%) was found for technical items related to map interpretation, hotspot identification, and choropleth mechanics, pointing to the need for follow-up sessions with direct practice. This program demonstrates that a brief online introduction to QGIS can meaningfully raise awareness and motivation among primary healthcare workers, provided it is followed by dedicated hands-on sessions to build technical proficiency.
