Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a case that has changed the pattern of human interaction in various fields such as in the world of education. The learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic uses an online learning model. Strengthening character education to students is a big challenge. Character values in Pancasila and Citizenship Education, where these values can be integrated in learning because learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education has a strategic meaning in shaping the character and civilization of a dignified nation and in the formation of Indonesian people who have a sense of nationality and love for the country. The purpose of this study is to identify the process of implementing strengthening the character education of PPKN learning students with online media during the Covid-19 pandemic in Banda Aceh City. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type, with literature studies, reviewing several research results, articles, ebooks and case studies that occur in the field. The results showed: The process of strengthening student character in PPKN learning with online media during the Covid-19 pandemic for high school students in Banda Aceh City greatly influences the role of parents in assisting student learning. Thus, the involvement, cooperation, responsibility of various educational environments, both from family, society, other media in creating the spirit and enthusiasm for student learning, will achieve strengthening character education in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
