EFFECTS OF GAMIFICATION-BASED LEARNING MEDIA ON ORAL HEALTH KNOWLEDGE AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS: A QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL COMPARISON OF QUIZIZZ PAPER MODE AND QUIZIZZ

Knowledge health teeth and mouth is factor important in formation behavior maintenance health tooth since age teenagers . Use method learning conventional often less capable increase involvement students . One of them innovation learning based gamification that can used are Quizizz and Quizizz Paper Mode. Objective Analyze influence education health teeth and mouth using Quizizz Paper Mode and Quizizz media against improvement knowledge teenager school middle school in West Jakarta. Method Study use quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest approach . Research sample totaling 73 students consisting of over 37 students Quizizz Paper Mode group and 36 students digital Quizizz group uses total sampling technique . Data obtained through questionnaire knowledge health teeth and mouth as many as 10 questions . Analysis bivariate using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and McNemar Test with level significance α=0.05. Results Average score knowledge Quizizz Paper Mode group increases from 72.50±12.41 to 96.39±5.72. The Quizizz group increased from 71.71±13.26 to 94.57±6.31. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test show significant increase in the Quizizz Paper Mode group (Z=-5.392; p=0.000) and the Quizizz group (Z=-5.407; p=0.000). The effect size values of 0.886 and 0.901, respectively , indicate very big effect . Conclusion Quizizz Paper Mode and Quizizz media are proven effective increase knowledge health teeth and mouth students . Both media can used as alternative education health innovative , interactive and fun teeth for teenager school .
