Stimulation Of Early Detection And Intervention Growth And Development Of Toddler And Preschool Children 5-6 Years At Posyandu Dusun Ale 3

Abstract

Developmental disorders in children in Indonesia are delays or disorders in speech development at 46.8% and delayed movement development at 30.9%. One of the efforts to foster children's growth and development in a comprehensive and quality manner is holding community service activities for stimulation, detection and early intervention of growth and development (SDIDTK) for toddlers and preschool children. Early detection aims to be a screening effort carried out to find deviations in growth and development abnormalities early. Participants in this activity are mothers, toddlers and preschool children 5-6 years old who are in the Dusun Ale 3 work area, Sugiale Village, Kec. Barebbo. The method of carrying out activities uses the SDIDTK application, measuring body length and weight and analyzing deviations that occur in toddlers and preschool children and teaching mothers to use the SDIDTK application. The results of the service showed that some children did not match their growth and development stages, as well as an increase in mothers' understanding of the use of the SDIDTK application. The SDIDTK application is very helpful in the process of early detection of growth and development in children so that toddlers and preschool children who are found to be experiencing disease early can be treated early, and mothers are able to independently detect these deviations using the SDIDTK application.
